2002 COLDSTREAM HILLS VARIETAL
PINOT NOIR
For many years now the team at Coldstream Hills has put a lot of work into
pinot, employing a Burgundy-inspired regime to build character. Current release 2002. There's a good measure of mystery here: plummy fruit aromas with some of the thorny undergrowth and meaty notes that get pinot-philes all a-twitter. In the mouth it has plum and spice flavours sitting on lightly astringent, unobtrusive tannins.
