2001 DEVIL'S LAIR MARGARET RIVER CHARDONNAY

It has a shy, nutty, nougat barrel-ferment nose, with a little butterscotch developing as it airs. It opens up into a concentrated, intense, yet refined chardonnay palate with plenty of oak, but lovely balance and persistence. It is already complex and will continue in that direction. It drinks well with baked vegetables.
