This won two trophies, including one for best red wine, at the National Wine Show in Canberra, in late 2002. That's a victory for elegant reds over the blockbuster, but does it really have enough intensity for such a high accolade? Current release 2000. The wine opens with leafy, slightly green fruit aromas and breathes to reveal more peppery fruit. It is light-to medium-bodied, soft and easygoing, and is starting to show some developed secondary flavours... You could serve it with veal saltimbocca.
